Daughters / Wives

In Development · Not Yet Released

The men have been talking. What were the women carrying?

What does transformation look like from the people who have often been holding the room together?

Featuring Mary Sedmak, Joda Williams, Jill Haney, Frances Domingues + The Women of the Story

The Story

Mary has spent decades beside Stephen, building a home and a life at Shope Creek. Joda brings intuition into the practical work of caring for people. Jill’s relationship with the land began long before Camp Mary. Frances leaves her mark through art.

Their stories are not footnotes to someone else’s transformation. They are lives in their own right: what they have witnessed, what they have carried, and what they now choose for themselves. Daughters / Wives asks what becomes visible when the camera turns toward the women who were there all along.

Care, inheritance and the freedom to tell your own story.
